Perfect timing for your new channel! At 81, at the beginning of this year, I told myself I was no longer just going to look and listen to life, but begin to live life! So I have started to do sketches of my cats, write and try some new creative activities. Those are things I let slide for far too long. Within the next couple of weeks I will finish recovering my pair of Savonarola chairs! I believe watching what you do has had a great impact on my life so I will be a faithful follower! Also I love seeing Romeo, your family and Kinsley...thank you for taking time to share with all of us ❣
I'm 29 now and I quit my job on a whim to figure out my goals and this made me cry feeling like I'm not stupid or alone, and I KNOW what I'm capable of - I just need to keep trusting the process. Thanks for being open about all of this. This episode was therapy to me
This is everything! As a stay at home mom, who longs for projects and making our house a home, YOU inspire. You have helped me re-spark my passions, creativity, and loves! Thank you ❤️🙏
Oh my gosh!!! I loved every minute of this, you truly are an inspiration! I cant wait for the next episode! You’re right, this is the perfect forum to round out the big picture for all things “McCenna” ❤
I would LOVE to hear from you guys!! What do you what to hear? chat about? know? anything and everything to leave you inspired and feeling good about ALL THE THINGS! Comment below!!! xo, MaCenna
AMAZING! I'd really love to hear more about you as a person. Please do share more about your interests and thoughts and life on podcast. And where do you gain all your inspiration?! 🌷 Can't wait for next episode
I'd love to know how you think up ideas each week. Specifically before you were doing the cottage you have a different diy video with all different ideas every week. Just curious how you are able to come up with a new idea each week or where you draw inspo from.
I did not expect to get so emotional. I’m currently 27 and stuck in a job that is the “safe” option. All I want to do is take the leap and follow my dreams. This is so inspiring. Thank you
Yes, I'd definitely love to see your Mom and Romeo on the pod! Love Drew too! It would be great to let viewers send in photos of a room they want updated and for you to give tips and ideas!
I always tell my Mom about my friends Macenna and Rachel (Metz) when she asks me how I know how to do certain things. I replaced my sister's taillights, my godmother's interior car lights, fixed my toilet and replaced the tub spout in my bathtub thanks to RUclips videos. I love that you both show your errors too, those help steer us in the right direction! When I was 9, I had a split flap alarm clock and took it apart to learn how it works. I thought I broke it but I was able to put it back together and it fully functioned again. If you couldn't explain in detail how things worked, I was going to figure it out myself. I feel like we're kindred spirits. Hugs for you, mama, Romeo and Kinsley!!
Wow, MaCenna you did that podcast like a total pro. You are so articulate and inspiring you will just go from strength to strength and you couldn't find better content on mainstream TV. You are seriously good at what you do and I've been following you for about 3 years now and have enjoyed watching your channels grow. Can't wait to watch more growth and see you climb even higher.
So happy for this…. It was like talking to a friend! Heres something I would really like to know! Who do you follow on youtube/ instagram and why! Ok you do not have to say Drew! Or the why! I follow him too, thats how I got to know you! I cannot wait for your mothers interview! And Romeos!
You talking about Romeo and how he would setup your “odd jobs” just to support you two ❤I could hear the thankfulness in your voice for him. So incredibly sweet!
I am a student, I study for my first degree and at the same time I work part time. I am from Greece and in recent years due to the coronavirus and the war in Ukraine the economic situation of my country and my family is becoming more difficult every day. In the last few months I have lost my courage. I really thank you from the bottom of my heart for this pod cast. You gave me strength, courage and showed me that difficult situations will end. You gave me hope and motivation to be strong and I thank you. I wish you very good luck in your new start . Much love from Greece🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
9:30 You've done exactly that for me ! I'm thinking of building a tiny house with my dad's help and I was telling him about it, and he was like nope we can't do that, like cabinetry and stuff. I was like haha nope, MaCenna went from awkwardly handling her first power tool to building freaking professionnal grade kitchen cabinets, if she can do this, so can I ! This is the definition of inspiration for me, thank you for convincing me that I got this and giving me the courage to be confident to tell him he was underestimating us !
I didn't think it was possible to love you and your content more, but here we are! 😍 I have so much respect for who you (and Romeo) are and what you do!! You absolutely inspire me every. single. time. I've been watching your videos for about 2-3 years, and now I've started building and refinishing with *my* own two hands!😉 ❤️ I literally just bought almost $500 worth of supplies and I'm about to build a chicken coop that I designed myself! Who am I?! lol! I definitely give you a lot of credit for helping me believe in myself, so thank you!! Can't wait for episode 2!!! 🎉🎉🎉
MaCenna, I know you will probably never read this but I feel compelled to write it anyways. Im 26 and going through exactly what you spoke about - trying to figure out my place in the world, exhausting myself with my corporate 9-5, and wondering what my next steps are. Your RUclips channels have been my comfort places for the last few years as I’ve navigated relationships, going back to school, jobs and the pandemic. This podcast felt like sitting in my living room with a close friend, confiding and swapping stories with each other. Thank you for this. I can’t wait to hear more of whatever it is you choose to share with us. ❤️
I am a grandmother type of person. The one that tells you how much you are loved and needed. You can do ALL things through HIM THAT STRENGTH EN YOU! I tell you girl. You are capable of more than you “ think”. Plant your face to the grindstone, learn from those who uplift you and fly girl. FLY.
MaCenna, I have been following you for some time on your other Utube channel and I knew you were a very special, hard working girl with an incredible focus on getting things done. After watching this video I see so much more. You are incredible and I hope you continue to follow your dreams. Also, you are truly blessed to have great parents!! You are such an inspiration to all the young girls coming up. Take care and keep on with all the wonderful things you are accomplishing!!
Currently sitting in my corporate job listening to this podcast and feeling so teary eyed. I started my small side creative business, working towards my dream, about a month ago. I feel so tired but so driven to make it work just like you did. My timeline is about the same as yours (I just turned 30 a few months ago) and I hope that I can look back in 5 years time just as successful as you. Been following you for years now and I can’t wait to see how you’ll grow and develop! You deserve all the success!! Thank you for sharing all of this!
Thank you so much for filling in a little more on your background. I started watching when you decided to use power tools! Hahaha. I think you have mastered those. Yes, please, lots of your mom and Romeo if you can. More on cottage style and the different types of cottage style, please. ❤
Good for you MaCenna, you had a lot of support, family, boyfriend, friends etc. You showed us you can do it, you are a humble person with a great personality. You aren't fake, phony or just a regular girl. I applaud you!!!!! Your parents must be so proud of you. They built you up and helped to make you who you are.
Guurrrlllll!!!!! I am living for this podcast! I love listening to you talk. Sometimes when my ADHD brain needs something going while I clean or work on a task I like to listen to audiobooks, but I have thought about wanting to play your videos. I just can't bc I keep running in the room to see what you're doing! 😆 This is going to be amazing! You have my full unwavering support.... For all it's worth. lmao ... 💕💕💕💕💕
I’m 61. In 2018, my husband and I left Ohio, where I was born and raised, to live in Florida. That’s where our youngest daughter decided she wanted to attend college so we followed her. The transition was incredibly difficult. But, I discovered you around 2019. You helped me get through and inspired me to make a home wherever that happens to be. ❤
MaCenna...... I'm so happy for you and proud of you. I've been watching you since, maybe a year into your RUclips journey, and I've just watched you grow and grow, and just get better at what you do. I've done small renovations in my home and switched up decor, but since you've started renovating that beautiful cottage, you've given me a little bit more confidence to start tackling more complex projects within my home, without calling my dad... lol. This first episode was EVERYTHING. You've given us bits and pieces of your back story on your vlog, but just hearing you on your podcast and you breaking it down for us gives us some much insight and more appreciation for you and your hard work. Thank you so, so much for sharing your journey with us. We support you in all you do!!!!!!!!!!!
I believe your success is mainly due to your personality; your charisma, positivity, and authenticity to self comes through the camera. You put 100% into all you do (big or small) and you are fearless with regards to challenging yourself. I am in awe of what you accomplish. I admire that and enjoy living vicariously through you with each video. I find it so inspiring. Keep it coming...I'm here for it! P.S. love your mom, she's always up for anything you can think of, that's awesome! She's also very talented.
I got all teary-eyed, moved, and inspired. Congratulations on everything you've accomplished, and thank you for sharing your journey and knowledge and your life with us! Congrats on the first podcast episode, too! 🥂
The podcast is great! One of the fun things is watching you and Romeo when you traveled to Europe. Please think about including weekend getaways and travel in the podcast or blog. I’m very excited about your Mom as a guest. She is my contemporary and I love her feistiness and grit. She’s a special person and I admire your relationship.💕
I love your Vlog. My mom has no idea how to use a battery pack drill for just hanging pictures, she always had me do it for her and putting together simple furniture pieces as well and etc. Finally after thinking about what I was doing for her...... I told her it was time to learn how to use basic tools. She is almost 70, and if she can learn how, anyone is capable of learning how. Saying all of that and finally getting to the point...Your Vlog not only influences others to challenge themselves, it gives encouragement and that is a beautiful thing you share !!!! Thank you for all of your goodness and sharing. 😊😊😊❤❤❤
I’m a bit older than you, but I have always been a diy’er because I love to work using my head and my hands. Creativity is an important part of who we are. Love your videos and now I’ll enjoy these podcasts! You are truly amazing 😊
In my younger years, my partner and I rehabbed an 1870’s house and loved it. We did most of it ourselves. Fast forward to being 58 when I first came upon your channel and over the last 2 years you have reignited that “I can do it myself “ in me. A big thank you MaCenna for taking the leap and trusting your gut. Our gut will always lead us in the right direction 👏👏👏
I definitely enjoyed this first Podcast. Congratulations on launching this next adventure in your life. I started watching your DYI renovations of your cottage right from the beginning and then joined your vlog. I love your positive nature and your love of “doing it myself”. Your adorable and I would adopted you as my daughter in a second if it weren’t for your mother. You have inspired me, a woman in here early 60’s to DYI as much as I can for our lake home. We retired out here in 2019, then bought a home on the lake in 2020 and started renovations. I only had a vision of what I wanted but the contractor helped me through it. I wish I had found your Chanel before I started that Reno. However, what I have learned through your Chanel is to take the risk and try new things…who says you can’t teach old dogs new tricks. 😊
I have been watching your regular channel for almost a year. Thank you for sharing your journey with us. You really are an exemplary young woman; your parents must be so proud to know they’ve raised such a capable child. What a partner you have found in Romeo, who has been your rock in the worst as well as the best of times. You are an inspiration to all you meet.
Becoming skilled in something and changing your life really is about staying consistent, weeks or months later it sets in that this is who you are now and just how much things have changed without realizing it. Super inspiring to hear your story ❤
I can’t even tell you how much your content has inspired me. I’m a clothing designer and interior designer and also worked as a music festival producer and now I have been stay at home mom for a 4 years. I just felt so lonely and didn’t have any creative outlets. I always felt like I can do anything and felt so frustrated with not knowing what I should do with my little time. Year ago I met someone who has become my best friend and together we started flipping furniture, did Vintage Market Days and now starting a business together. Whenever we want to flip something and use power tools our husbands get nervous but we always say “ we are going to MaCenna it”
Love all your hard 43:33 work and your strength. Thank you for inspiring our world with your hard work, tenacity, example, big heart. You certainly guide with action. Love your relationship with your mom. Looking forward to seeing Romeo. God bless you and your family.
I quit a job I loved this week because the work/life discord was creating chaos in my mind. I took a job that's a step down professionally, but I need some time to refresh and recharge to reevaluate where I see myself in the future. This podcast gave me the reassurance that I needed that it's ok to take a break, and something more beautiful can come of it in the future! ❤
What wonderful achievement you have made, and I think that watching you and Romeo work side by side during the renovation of the cottage, is what makes your RUclips channel, what it has become. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!
Great 1st episode on your podcast. Love hearing about yourself and your goals. Even though I am 70 years old you can always learn from others. I am also a person that has the mentality that I can do it myself. Whats the worst that can happen if I fail I keep on trying. Love the inspiration and creativity that you bring to both of your channels and now we have a podcast to listen too as well. Congratulations and thanks for being the person you are. ❤
Holy cow - hearing about you and Romeo's side jobs made me cry. Thank you for being vulnerable with us, it means so much. It's hard not to imagine that successful influencers and the like just get lucky or don't understand the working class. I think this is such a perfect start to your podcast because it's relatable and humbling. Thank you again for showing this side of you! We appreciate it more than you know!
I have watched you from the very beginning and have enjoyed your adventures of fixing, moving, decorating, your mom and her artwork, family, Kinsley(sp,) swapmeets, shopping, diy projects. Will continue to watch and watch you grow some more. You can do this.....
A perfect start to a wonderful new direction! I really loved hearing about your past directions and am excited to hear more from you and guests. Love Drew and your mom!! Congrats!
i would love to see both of your parents! Im a huge supporter and a current interior architect student. i would love to see their viewpoints of both of the fields and what work/ projects they do together!
Congratulations on your pod cast. It was wonderful. I’ve been watching you for many years and enjoy you content and your amazing skills and work ethic. You are a great roll model for women (girls) of all ages. Love seeing your mom on your channel and am excited to see her on your podcast too. Congrats on your home in L. A. ♥️
I’ve been watching you on RUclips since you basically started and I remember when you got the cottage I thought to myself how awesome it was for you to be able to get to even just that point in your life. Then through the series I was able to see you grow more and more, as well as your channels. You’re doing amazing work, you’re so creative, and so inspiring, and I am so grateful to be able to watch your content and be able to learn and grow with you. You’ve definitely inspired me to be whatever I want to be and do whatever I want. I have an able-body and I’m able to do things with my own two hands, too! So thank you for being a light in a dark storm for me. To say the least, my mental health had been in a rough shape, but the past couple years I’ve been growing and getting better. And I have you to thank for being one of the inspiring bad ass women to be a role model for me!! ❤🥹🫶
Why am I crying?! I needed this moment I think. I’m currently 28 yrs old. Been clueless on what to do with my life since graduating HS. Now I have 3 babies and I have one foot in and one foot out of following my dreams in interior design. But you Macenna truly do inspire me. Thank you for sharing your story it’s truly amazing. ❤
Thank you, you inspire a lot. Being camera shy is more my weakness but hearing you and making goals. Gives a boost to work on it. Looking forward to the next episodes.
Honestly would love to hear from both of your parents. I love your mama. When you two are together on the vlog channel,I laugh so much from watching you two.
I am so glad you are doing this podcast. I have been watching on RUclips for about 4 years. I have seen your design esthetic develop and become more refined. I would love to hear you reflect on that development. Your Mom. YES! Drew. Yes! And Romeo too if he wants to. I think you may have overlooked a big thing in your character that has made you successful. You are soooo authentically You! When I read some of the comments it is obvious that people find real connections with you. When I get teary because you have done something spectacular , I think....this is weird...I don't even know her. But really I do because you are just vulnerable enough to show us YOU!. Thannk you MaCenna. ❤
Wow.😲 I'm surprised and very impressed by your story. I love your attitude, doing more, figuring out and learning by staying grouded the same time. I'd have never thought you did online classes in the night, while working during the day or charged scooters, delivered food and other side jobs, with worrying to make it another month. 👍❤
Hey! This was awesome!!! So happy this is where you are going with things. Tips: the camera with the fire in the background is a far superior one to look at. Also you looking back and forth between two cameras when on just one camera view was very distracting. You can probably just set up one!!! But you are engaging and informative. Love love love!
You are inspiring us all. You make me feel like like it’s not too late at “60” to make changes for a more fulfilling life… I haven’t made a single video yet, but named my you tube channel, and then when you came out with the name of this podcast my heart kind of skipped a beat. Lol. Is it a sign?
I never really listen to podcasts but I've always liked you other channels and especially lately with the two houses. Its your time to shine. So this was actually super nice, feeling like I got some backstory to the person I've been watching for 2 year! You did great, can't wait for the next one
I just loved your Podcast. What an amazing story. You are such an inspiration and you deserve the best. It just shows what you can do if you’re prepared to do the work. It’s wonderful when you get to do the things that make you happy. You and Romeo deserve the success you are achieving. Looking forward to more. Love you and look forward to seeing your lovely mom. Xxx 😘
I wasn't originally planning on watching the podcast but I was in the mood for some Macenna inspiration and creativity and thought I'd give it a go. And I'll definitely be watching the rest of them now because it was great. I rarely comment on RUclips, but finding your channel last year and then going back to binge all of your renovation videos --- and then also following you on your vlog channel has been a highlight of the last several months (and Christmas! Thank you for vlogmas. You were one of my favourites to watch). Initially when I watched your videos I just enjoyed seeing the progress and all the things you do and learn. I was content to just enjoy watching it and leave it at that. Decorating and doing projects and really making our home a home has never been something I could do. I wanted it but I could never do it. To be honest, even the "wanting" was something that was often beyond me. I think it might've been around the time I found your channel, I was diagnosed with OCD and PTSD, and finally gave medication another go. Fast forward six months and I'm doing the best I've ever done. It's honestly blowing my mind. I have so much more space in my mind that I had no idea was even there. I can have a thought about doing something now and I just give it a go. Both parts of that sentence are huge for me. I'm thinking about areas and rooms of the house and planning and moodboarding things (I love Milanote, by the way, so thank you for that as well), changing things around, getting rid of stuff I've wanted out of the house for years, picking out new furniture, working in the garden... I am so grateful I discovered your channels. I watch your videos and continued to be awed and inspired, but now I watch them and think, "Maybe I can do something too." I have those thoughts and I actually believe them.
The biggest takeaway I took from this is how much you believe/believed in yourself. You said at one point in the video "I knew I was capable, so I..." and that struck me so much! It really made me reflect on how I feel about myself and how often I doubt myself or assume I'm not capable of doing something. I think God is really trying to show me that I am and I can, because just this morning I added (randomly- it just came to my heart) "I am capable" to the affirmations I say with my daughter in the mornings. I need her to know, like you do, that she is capable! Sorry for the long comment, this was just really striking to me! I am so tired of the self doubt!! Thank you so much for sharing this. I've been watching since the very beginning of the Texas home reno and feel so inspired by you!
Just watched your first podcast and I really enjoyed it. I always wondered how you came to be😂so now I know. Keep up the great work and I am looking forward to seeing your mom on with you.
This is the First Podcast that I have watched/listened to all the way through. None of the others I've listened to have been able to keep my attention. I'm excited for the next one. Knowing your Mom it will be a Hoot!!!
I moved into my new house at the same time you started renovating your cottage. You've helped me to find my own style and develop a real passion on interior design. I'd love to know more through this podcast on: - Ways to run an interior design business via social media - How to organise furnitures in different spaces - especially awkward ones Thanks for sharing!
You are such a great storyteller MaCenna! I feel like I have heard bits and pieces of your background in various videos but I was still so captivated listening to you talk in this. I found it so inspiring and interesting. I think I went to school for the wrong thing, I am currently in law school and absolutely hate it but I am trying to DIY on the side and learn how to do things myself so that my husband and I can flip houses after I graduate (he is in construction) and hopefully make a business out of it so I don't have to stick with law. Your videos have already taught me so much so thank you!!
So inspiring MaCenna! I also work a creative position in the corporate world and in the last few years I’ve fantasized about leaving that to find something more fulfilling. This was wonderful and inspirational to listen to. If you can convince Romeo to come on I’d love to hear his story how he started his vintage clothing gig and vending at fleas.
Macenna i had so much to write but now that i am writing i I'm lost in words. U are my comfort zone. U and drew are my inspiration. U are so much to me i am living in the 3th world country and u have no idea what u leave for us to receive. I'm 25 and have no clue of what i will be doing in life to thought that i would have figured it out by now but no nothing but i know this that i love interior design and all the design world and would love to live in it. But i have studied in commerce and i don't want to do it i don't love it anymore. I am not like you I'm a lazy person but love to accomplish something in my life that i would love to do not just to make a living but also love doing so. Keep doing what you are doing and i will watch it as long as u love making it.
I listened to this podcast on Spotify when it first came out as I was working on some DIY projects at home. Getting to see it in a video format is such a treat! I'm glad I can listen and watch! Love you and "all the things" that you do. Keep inspiring. Keep shining. Xo
Absolutely enjoyed every second of your podcast! Thanks, so much for sharing your knowledge and experiences. Looking forward to more. You’re enthusiasm just shows in everything you share with us. It makes me excited for the next video. You are truly one of the most genuine creators I have ever watched on RUclips. I met you, your mother and your best friend at the Fredericksburg Trade Days! The California house looks amazing, can’t wait to see what you share with us next!
So happy that your podcast is on RUclips. Thank you for sharing your life. Excited that I have one more place to see your enthusiasm. Love to see your Momma. ❤😊
I would love to hear your thought process when you're shopping/thrift shopping. How you determine its value, how you envision it in your space, that kind of thing! Also would love to hear how the evolution of your style came around.
I'll be 29 in 1 day I haven't still figured it out but you always give me hope that it will work out some how. I love you you’re truly my inspiration :)
I'm so happy that you want people to feel inspired after watching your videos cause I am every time. Doesn't matter if it's just shopping or decorating or DIY'ing I'm always left with a full glass of inspiration and creativity. I'd love to see your mom on to talk about Magnolia House and how she feels about that business looking back.
Your someone I look up to. What you've accomplished just since I've been watching is amazing,. I can't wait for episode 2. Thank you again for sharing.
Great podcast! I really enjoyed hearing about your background. You are so talented in many ways, but what really makes it all flow so well (in my opinion) is your personality, communication, inspiration, and care for this community and others. You feel like a friend, even though we have not met you. Thank goodness you took that leap of faith!
Hi Macenna! So happy and excited to hear from you on a podcast level! I started watching your videos at the beginning of Covid and have been obsessed ever since. You inspired me to create and try new things over the past 2 years and I thank you for that! I started Covid as a graphic designer fresh out of college and all though I love creating, I just wasn’t fulfilled doing that as my 9-5. I moved in with my boyfriend and after some long conversations, I decided to go back to school to become a nurse. I am on my second semester and will be graduating in December of this year! We bought a fixer upper and have been working on it (with our own two hands) since march of last year. I really leaned on your videos for inspiration and I hope to be able to really decorate my home how I want it once I become a nurse. I will say at times I struggle with decorating my house because I have basically a blank slate. Would it ever be possible with your podcast for viewers to send in pictures of their spaces and you could give ideas for ways to decorate? Thank you for your time and always inspiring me to create! Can’t wait for what’s to come with your podcast !
This was wonderful, MaCenna. I so enjoyed getting to know you better. I am looking forward to having yet another MaCenna channel to watch! Woo Hoo! Thank you for sharing so much of yourself with all of us. I am old enough to be your mom, but you still inspire me 😊. Stay blessed! xo
I’ve been following your for about 4 years now and that exactly how I recommend your yt channel to others! “That she’s a feel good channel” ❤🎉 so excited for this podcast
Love this! Been a watcher from the beginning. I would love a review on tools. What you have found to work the best, brand wise, what is your favorite, can't live without tool, and what you recommend for someone just starting to DIY. Thank you Macenna, for being such an inspiration!
I am so happy for you!!! I would like to hear about how to decorate with perfecting a room that is scale appropriate, color undertones and lighting ideas. I am a lover of history, so I have many old old books, antique maps and ideas of my own as well, I only lack confidence sometimes that I bring too much of what I adore into a room since I have so many things I’ve collected over the years. I have a President Lincoln Portrait lithograph with Illinois maps and other decor that I established a very dark moody area and also using pottery, books and smalls to fill a lovely dark wood bookcase with so many unusual pieces. Everyone loves my vignettes I’ve set on my own in many antique shops for years! My only sadness is that I’m sickly and becoming discouraged at 62 and you and your mother bring me so much joy and happiness. I hope to feel better and show you some of my photos from homes I’ve decorated from living in Pennsylvania to the Midwest and learning about and implementing my ideas that I believe are extraordinary since I am a perfectionist and will tear down a wall and replace garden beds repeatedly to achieve that perfection of beauty that your eye doesn’t want to leave. I missed the boat in life since I didn’t become an interior decorator. I love your programs and your lovely mom. I look forward to only watching and doing a little bit in my life with people that can do the labor since I have the vision and if it’s wrong I know it MUST be changed. If the tree must be moved 4 times it will be for a charm in that garden masterpiece. In my mind it must be perfection or it’s a waste of time.❤ I also believe an interest in history has helped me see so much more for designing that going back in time brings design elements an amazing opportunity for such uniqueness that it’s something we have lost touch with in my opinion. The old must live with the new in design!
So excited to see your mom coming to the channel. Looking forward to it as much as I am watching you now. I've ben a member for more than a year now and I am in awe of your abilities. Can't wait to see some more of your mom's art too.
If I could love this video 100 times I would! The passion you have for your work and Romeo is so inspiring! You made me want to work harder and changed the way I look at fashion all around. I’m so excited for this podcast!!! 🤍🤍🤍 I would love to hear Romeo and your mom experience!
Oh my gosh I loved this!! i would love for you to talk about creating in your apartment/smaller spaces. Any tips that you may have. And if you are able to get Romeo on i think it would be really cool to hear how he started his clothing business. SO exciting to watch the next episode with your mom!!!
This is AMAZING. I consume all of you content like I eat it up. It’s so empowering and just taught me to try new things and believe I am capable. Thanks for being an amazing role model🤍🫶🏼
You are awesome! Love your cuteness. I need a kick in the butt for my E-bay store. I've been just letting it linger, putting off listing. I probably have 60 tubs full of beautiful things. It would be a designer's dream. Very picky about what I thrift. I'm also a collector, which is also a problem. I have a good eye and know good things when I see them. Worked in fine jewelry for 10 years, and I'm pretty much retired now. I have been doing my E-bay store part-time for 5 years. Listening and watching you is so motivating and definitely inspirational for me.
I’m 27, have been attending school online for almost 10 years alongside working full time. I started at Petco, then worked in veterinary, all the while trying to achieve my “dream” of working in art in some way. Eventually that turned into game design. Fast forward, 4 moves around the country later, here I am, I recently obtained my true senior level role at a huge corporate video game company, I graduate with my bachelors degree in a few months, and I’m not satisfied lol. In fact, I’m not even happy. My reprieve from my job is going projects on my house, working with my hands, getting creative but FREELY creating in a way that works for me. Outside of the corporate box. Sometimes I watch your videos and I feel like I’m watching myself on screen. This podcast was very inspiring. Listening to the fact that you gave up your corporate job to pursue something that allowed you to be creative in the way that you want to be is exactly what I want in life, too. Im also an introvert and I keep landing myself in management roles, leading the people who are doing the hands on work that I want to be doing. I feel like it’s so suffocating being inches away from what I want to do but not doing it. Long story short, you said in the beginning that you want to make people feel empowered and you definitely do that every time I watch you. One time my mom sat in and watched you with me and on her own, she said “wow this is very empowering to watch her do this all on her own”. So I thought I needed to mention that, too. Thanks for sharing your history. It literally has given me an idea to start saving up money and follow your footsteps. It’s always something I’ve considered and maybe I just need to bite the bullet and give it a try.
I love this! Very enlightening, very inspiring!!! Would love for you to include Romeo sometime soon. Would love to hear his take on your journey. So happy for you. So pleased about the new Podcast.
This is so motivating. I am in the army and I retire in 5 years and I am so afraid of just doing my own thing after 20 years of structure. But you are so motivating. I love the 2 year deadline!
I've been watching XO for a while - (before building) - I remember your first build w/ the vanity table or maybe bedside table. You've come so far and I've enjoyed every step.
McCenna the Podcast was amazing. I think you should write a book. Having your mom & Romeo in your podcast would be super, it would be great to hear how their work stories started. Love your youtube chanel. I learn something new from every episode. You are an inspiration to life 💖 Looking forward to your next Podcast.
What I’m most impressed about is you could have leaned on your parents financially but you did not! You made your own way and that’s so commendable. I watched episode 2 first and then this episode.
I loved the first episode! I would love to hear more from your mom, she is so talented and would love to know more about what inspires her creativity. And what were her thoughts about you doing RUclips at first. Interviews with some other RUclipsrs would be nice (Drew). Doing projects on a budget would be a fun topic (I know you love to thrift). How to find your style, would be a fun topic as well. Can't wait to hear more.
Wow, MaCenna, you are amazing. Everything you touch turns to gold. And as I say that I don't mean each thing comes easy, as I watch you several times each week, I see how hard you work, how incredibly creative and what a go getter you are. But you work so hard, have such great instincts and are such a lovely, dynamic person that you draw success to you. I don't know if I am the first to predict this but, I look forward to seeing you begin your own network one day. If Oprah can do it and Joanna and Chip Gaines can do it, why not MaCenna and Romero! You go girl!!!
I stubbornly didn't watch the podcast and finally gave in. The laugh I got at the cottage will be done this year because I totally felt that ! Hello it's 2024 and the cottage isn't done and that's totally okay 🍻 you got one of the best surprise change of plans ever instead 🙏🍻❤️ my husband, who doesn't really watch your videos but catches a bit here and there of me watching them, well I had him watch the pregnancy announcement with me and THE WAY WE CRIED for you guys. It was so wonderful🎉🍻
I am here for “all the things” I love it!! Stealing time from work to watch even though I listened this morning on my podcast on my commute. Every chance I get to see the room & Kingsley & to listen to Queen MaCenna I will!
You are my greatest inspo in life. Im 29 and you just really give me so much perspective and inspiration. Your like a virtual big sister !! Love watching you grow and succeed!!
Congrats on all your achievements you and Romeo, honestly you would have done well anyway becoz u have a very innocent face , are soft spoken and the best is your sincerity and humbleness !!! Your a great public speaker …you have collected your thoughts with out just rambling on !! I tip my hat off to your parents for doing such a great job bring you up !! Well done little lady !! By the way I also love Drew, was following him and when I saw u guys together I was so excited !!! 2 of my favorite ppl !! You guys are sooo talented !!
I just started the podcast & it's so funny hearing her talk about hopefully buying a house in LA 😂 I'm obsessed with her new home but ever more with the back story she shares on her podcast 😍
At 32 almost 33 I have switched careers and am starting at the bottom. It's so scary and I keep worrying that it won't work out..... But I promised myself to try. Life is long and trying things makes it more interesting. I keep reminding myself that I have to just be willing to learn and keep trying. I'm happy to hear that you did something similar and it worked out because you knew you could do it. I am grateful to you for this podcast, chat, get to know you in a different way, pick your brain and understand your process channel now. Not only is it great for you, but it will be invaluable to us as well. I'm glad you trusted yourself so much to see this journey thru. You are my favorite to watch and I am glad your genuine nature now has a third outlet in which to shine and inspire. Thank you.
Also I love seeing Romeo, your family and Kinsley...thank you for taking time to share with all of us ❣
You sound absolutely fabulous!
I'm 29 now and I quit my job on a whim to figure out my goals and this made me cry feeling like I'm not stupid or alone, and I KNOW what I'm capable of - I just need to keep trusting the process. Thanks for being open about all of this. This episode was therapy to me
I did it at 44 and still trying to figure it out 8 months in. It’s scary but this podcast is inspiring
Why did you quit? Can't you work and still figure it out?
@@markmerritt6089 I think Macenna explains it very well in her podcast (this is assuming Lindsay is in a similar position)
@@alexandrakukoljac237 Macenna also explained being down her last dime. That is like adding insult to injury. Poor choice.
I quit my full time job at 29 and I'll be 33 this year. Best decision I've ever made. I wish you the very best! You got this!
This is everything! As a stay at home mom, who longs for projects and making our house a home, YOU inspire. You have helped me re-spark my passions, creativity, and loves! Thank you ❤️🙏
that means the world to me!!! thank YOU so much!
Oh my gosh!!! I loved every minute of this, you truly are an inspiration! I cant wait for the next episode! You’re right, this is the perfect forum to round out the big picture for all things “McCenna” ❤
❤❤❤ been doing projects since I had my Children. Love it It’s not always easy with so much responsibility
I would LOVE to hear from you guys!! What do you what to hear? chat about? know? anything and everything to leave you inspired and feeling good about ALL THE THINGS! Comment below!!! xo, MaCenna
Please have Mama, Romeo & Drew! Love all 3 of them. 💜
This has nothing to do with DIY but I’ve been wondering about Sebastian. Did he pass? ❤️
@@moda78z Yess same here, love to know if he's still around just maybe living with someone else or if he went over the rainbow bridge ❤️
Love this idea. It's unique.
with pictures too!
Yes! First episode! Here we go!
🥰
FLY.
AMEN!!!!!
One word to describe this story. GRIT.
Woman, you have so much grit. To have courage and show the strength of your character... amazing! 🙌💜
Loved your video.
For all it's worth. lmao ... 💕💕💕💕💕
I totally relate to your comment!🥰🥰🥰
Lol this is me exactly. Lol
I feel the same way! I love listening to her talk too. You could maybe re-play videos you've already watched for the audio. :)
Mackenna your next Merch line : "Me do it" ...I love it as another me do it person. You are truly inspirational and by far my favorite RUclipsr xxxx
Whenever we want to flip something and use power tools our husbands get nervous but we always say “ we are going to MaCenna it”
Omg, that's amazing! Get it girl!! 🎉 I'm totally going to steal that phrase lol!
I'm 63 and I'm intimidated by my drill! What the hell!! You have inspired me so much! Just love you!
You definitely should be proud of yourself and I am proud of you too!
❤
Wow.😲
I'm surprised and very impressed by your story.
You make me feel like like it’s not too late at “60” to make changes for a more fulfilling life…
I haven’t made a single video yet, but named my you tube channel, and then when you came out with the name of this podcast my heart kind of skipped a beat.
I hope you enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed watching! I just loved it! I wanna see your mom paint.
I moved into my new house at the same time you started renovating your cottage. You've helped me to find my own style and develop a real passion on interior design. I'd love to know more through this podcast on:
- Ways to run an interior design business via social media
- How to organise furnitures in different spaces - especially awkward ones
Thanks for sharing!
Not me squealing when this popped up on my feed on RUclips! I'm so excited I have another way of watching/listening to you!
Really enjoyed the first episode, MaCenna! Looking forward to your sweet mom being on the next episode…fun seeing you two together. ♥️♥️
27:09 Love your attitude, and love to watch you google it and then make cupboards and bookcases.
I'd love to see an interview with Romeo on his highs and lows of renovating the cottage
Thank you MaCenna for this episode! If no other episode inspires me, this one definitely has! I'm excited for the next episode. 🤩
I love your relationship with your Mom. I can't wait for the second episode ♥️♥️♥️♥️
Thank you.
